brodixbb3 extra cnc vrs dart 355 cnc machine I'm comparing these two heads for the next build, Brodix 3 xtra CNC (either oval port or rectangular) to the Pro 1 355 cnc heads. I've run the pro 1's before with good luck, but the 3 xtra is starting to intrigue me, especially the oval ports. As far as Dart heads , if I was considering Pro 1 355 CNC, I would also consider the 365 CNC as it has 2.350" intake valve size. They are a nicely finished casting with good CNC work. Not cheap though. I'm comparing these two heads for the next build, Brodix 3 xtra CNC (either oval port or rectangular) to the Pro 1 355 cnc heads. The CNC BB3Xtra flows decent air and would be a good choice if you're looking for a decent power band. Another good choice would be the Dart 355 CNC. Bigger heads will flow more air and work better at higher rpm but may not make better power. Just what would the performance differential be in say a 351 cc brodix -3 extra oval port head compared to a dart 355 cnc or afr 355 cnc head on an engine designed for this size head. Not worrying about flow numbers but on track performance.

Dart applied the same airflow technology developed in their championship-winning Pro Stock engine program to produce these state-of-the-art heads. Every intake port, every exhaust runner, every valve bowl, and every combustion chamber is 100% CNC machined on special dedicated PRO 1 castings. Brodix Makes a solid head. The Heads and intake on the motor were 00. They cam with a special coating (7 year warranty). I will say this though nothing sticks to the coating. Silicone will not stick to it. The heads were 100% bolt on. The pushrods (7/16) fit no problem and the rocker shafts were right on the money (no shims). My current setup has the brodix bp bb2 extra cnc 355cc heads.
