I'd find a 3/0 metal box, 18" of 12-2, then a 4s box, another 24" of 14-3 then a plastic box wrapped in tape with some UF ..and on and on. I've never used any devices other than a screwdriver or a drywall saw/sawsall to find them. Logic and knowledge can usually narrow the search.
