Call it an 11b box in Chicago. They make mud rings for them and garvin covers. We use them a lot because most places spec 3/4 as minimum conduit size so it gives us more options.
"1900 box" comes from the original part number from Bossert almost a hundred years ago. I got that information from this site. I can only guess that the "8" in "8B" refers to the number of sides in an octagon, and that the "11" in "11B" refers to the "11/16 inch" increase in size from the 4x4 box.
